How I Met My Love, David <3

David and I met 7.5 years ago right after I got back from 2.5 months in Baja. Sun kissed and happy, I was not looking for a relationship! My friend was having a Bday party and the music was dope! I didn't even think to look at who was djing. But then this cute guy stepped from behind the booth and started dancing. I was like heeeeey😻⁣

I went over to dance next to him, tried to catch his eye but he wouldn't look at me! He went back behind the dj booth, kept playing and I kept dancing. It was like 5:30am when we ended and I went up to him and said "Hey! Are you on Facebook?" He looked at me and said, "Facebook? OH Nooo, not facebook".😕I was a little sad by his reaction and figured he found me annoying, so I left.⁣

But I wasn't done! I purposely went to my friends page, found one of his posts and liked it. I thought if I liked one of his pictures, he'd friend me. LOL! 😂 And HE DID!! When I looked at his photo albums, he had one dedicated to mamas and so I messaged him to tell him he had a beautiful soul.⁣😍

But for months he played hard to get! So I intentionally and accidentally started bumping into him but played it cool until I couldn't. Eventually, I invited him to a show I was having and at it, he gave me a cd mix he made called "Mama Blessing". I looked at him in his eyes and told him he was beautiful. He melted! #winnng⁣

Eventually he reached out and said he had planned a day on the town and wanted to know if I wanted to come. I said sure! But by that time, I figured it was for pure friendship. If love didn’t spark in the first week, my young Aries flame dwindled and I assumed it's nothing.⁣

But we went and before you know it, it was 1am. Then he looked at me and asked, "So, what's it like dating as a mama?" ⁣

Me: I don't know cuz I don't usually date!⁣

David: Well I thought this was a date. ⁣

Me: Huh?!😳⁣

David: Yeah, I was really excited to see you⁣

Me: Really?!😱⁣

David: Yeah!

Shocked, I pulled my chair a little closer and from that day, we basically haven't been apart.❤️ That's not to say it's been easy one bit but I wanted to honor this beautiful man and our story and tell all y'all how much I LOVE David!
